The Office of the ADGFT, Bangalore has newly introduced a process of “Pre-Scrutiny based EODC Document Submission” for both Advance authorization as well as EPCG Authorization with immediate effect (vide Trade Notice no. 12/2016 dated 14.12.2016).

This is expected to facilitate faster clearances and issue of Export Obligation Discharge Certificate (EODC).

Under the Pre-Scrutiny System, the trade will have the facility of getting the documents pre-scrutinized before submission. In such cases EODC will normally be issued within 10 working days of submission of the documents.
According to PIA President Sri R. Krishnamurthy, the introduction of the pre-scrutiny system will further improve the ease of doing business for exporters, which was especially significant in view of the slow growth in exports and the need for increasing exports in multiple sectors.
