In 1988, to diversify operations, LMW collaborated with Japan’s Mori Seiki Co. Ltd to establish the Machine Tool Division, which is the first of its kind plant in India manufactures of CNC Lathes, Machining Centers and Turn Mill Centers. Till to date, LMW MTD has supplied more than 19,000+ CNC lathes and machining centers with 50 Products & 88 Variants to a wide customer base spans of automobile industry, Pumps & valve, Die & Mold, Agri, Oil & Gas, General engineering industries & etc,.

  • Turning & Turn Mill Center

Today, CNC turning & turn mill centers are used in most metal cutting environments in either horizontal or vertical configurations. LMW came with series of turning & turn mill center for various machining operations.

The machine base is of rigid, sufficient wide torsion-free box type construction. Bed, saddle and all major casting is of high grade FG 300 grey cast iron, duly stress relieved.

The spindle is housed in a robust headstock (Car tridge type spindle).

The turret is hydraulically operated, 8 position shor test path bi-directional indexing type. The turret have provision through tool coolant for use of carbide U drills.

The tailstock is guided and clamped on the integral bed guideways. The base movement is manual and the tailstock is with a built-in center.

       Rigid Structure of our machining centers are built through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), optimized FG 300 Cast Iron structure to ensure the stable material removal & vibration free machining with an effective power transmission to improve depth of cut & higher threading size. 

       In Spindle, bearings are pre-loaded with larger diameter for higher cutting capabilities at the optimum level, so that built-in accuracies are retained over a long period of usage. Shorter tool length is given for better component approach and accuracy.

       Double anchored ball-screws are provided to improve machining accuracy by minimizing the effects of thermal growth & additional Roller LM guide in the Y axis to minimize overhang.
