PIA takes up MSMEs’ Cause on Minimum Wages

PIA is representing the Micro and Small Scale Enterprises of Peenya Industrial Estate and surrounding Industrial Areas in the Minimum Wages Board.

The Board also has representation from 12 other Associations including CII, FKCCI, KEA, Clothing Manufacturers Association from Bengaluru, KSIA, KCMA of Mangaluru and Foundry Association of Belagavi.
Sri R. Krishnamurthy, President, PIA informed that along with other Associations, PIA has taken strong objection to the minimum wages proposed on 35 schedules. “We are going to once again deliberate on the issue in the next meeting on July 17 and we will ensure that justice is done to our Members,” he declared, and appealed to the Member-Units to also send their feedback immediately to PIA so as to make a cast iron case to represent before the Government.
