Swedish Envoy Says Karnataka’s Positive Attitude Attracts Investors

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Swedish Ambassador to India Klas Molin says that Karnataka’s business-friendly attitude and superior work ethics in Bengaluru serve as a natural magnet for investors.
He appreciated the policies of the Karnataka government for making this possible. He acknowledged that the general lifestyle, climate and schools, and other aspects in Bengaluru are very appreciable.
Praising the business attitude in India’s IT capital, Ambassador Molin emphasised the importance of business attitude, and added that the “can do” attitude is a characteristic of this region.
The ambassador was appreciative of the number of Swedish companies present in Bengaluru for many years, saying that the city has proven itself a good place to do business. Bengaluru has 70 companies from the Nordic country, including the Volvo bus company.
Karnataka has seen a big increase in investment proposals in the past three years, in excess of INR 1.5 lakh crore for 2016 and 2017. Karnataka was at the top of the list of investment proposals in India, garnering INR 74,776 crore till March. Karnataka attracted $22.37 billion between April 2000 and March 2017, and $5.2 billion in FY 2017 alone.

Molin said he also met the management team of the Kempegowda International Airport to discuss collaboration opportunities in the new terminal project. The third largest airport in India, run by the Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) is set to raise about $2 billion for a new terminal and runway.
