Peenya Area Upgrade among FKCCI Pre-Budget Demands to CM

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ahead of the Karnataka Budget presentation on 5 July 2018, many stakeholders from all sectors are keenly awaiting what Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who holds the Finance portfolio, would put forth in his budget speech in the Assembly today. Many organisations have placed their respective demands before the chief minister. Therefore, he will literally have his hands full as he puts forth the much-talked-about farm loan waiver in his budget presentation.
The garment industry workers’ organisations want the government to increase the old-age pension from the paltry INR 500 per month at present to INR 5,000 per month.
Many industry associations in Karnataka want the government to set up industrial estates in all the districts of Karnataka. Sudhakar Shetty, the new president of the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) said that the association has urged Kumaraswamy to focus on developing satellite towns to alleviate traffic congestion in the cities. He added that the association demanded the government improve and upgrade the Peenya industrial area. Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) President Basavaraj Javali said that association has demanded new industrial estates and better infrastructures in the existing ones.
Farmers’ organisations have opined that loan waiver will only be a temporary solution. They have demanded that the government implement a special package for developing agriculture in rural areas.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
