OVERSEAS VISIT Czech Delegates @ PIA to Explore Business Ties

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]PIA organized a business interaction meeting with Delegates of Czech Republic on March 8. The foreign delegates mainly represented Healthcare, Engineering, Construction, Banking, Medical Equipments and Industry Associations.

Extending a warm welcome to the Czech Delegates, PIA President Sri R. Krishnamurthy, informed that there was tremendous scope for tying up with industries in Peenya Industrial Area. “Peenya is home to accomplished entrepreneurs who supply their components and manufacturing items to world class companies, especially in the categories of machine tools, defence, engineering components, healthcare, etc. There is a tremendous synergy between the needs of Czech companies as represented by you and the capabilities of our entrepreneurs in Peenya Industrial Area. We are also ably supported by a very progressive State Government which offers full support to the MSME sector and industry at large. The Central Government too is fully focused on increasing tie-ups of local industry with global enterprises.”

The PIA President also pointedly informed the Delegates that a majority of the machine tools production of the country was produced in Peenya, which showcased its superior capabilities and expressed his willingness on behalf of PIA to play the role of a facilitator for representatives of Czech companies interested to network with industries in Peenya.
Thanking the industry representatives for their initiative to strengthen bilateral agreements, Mr. Peter Milata from Beznoska said there was huge scope for improving the business ties, which right now was at a low base. While exports from India to Czech Republic was 0.73%, the corresponding figure for exports from Czech to India was 0.62%. A beginning could be made to strengthen bilateral cooperation and mutual business ties by encouraging more people to people contact between the two countries, he suggested, pointing out that as many as 66,000 Indians visited the Czech Republic annually.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
