The Peenya Industries Association (PIA), along with its associate partners, is organising the “Peenya Industries Run” on 19 August 2018. In this connection, the PIA Managing Council Members, led by Sri Malyadri Reddy M., President, Sri. Muralikrishna B., Hon. Secretary and Sri. Ashwath Narayan Rao S., Treasurer, met Peenya Industrial Area Corporator Sri Thimmananjaiah on 12 July 2018. The PIA team requested his wholehearted support for the event that is being held for a “Green, Clean and Healthy Peenya”.
The aim of this event is generate awareness about the need to adopt environment-friendly measures in the industrial processes as well as the daily lives of the people. The PIA recently announced the setting up of a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in the Peenya industrial area so that the industries in Peenya can get the effluents processed there. The Karnataka government recently announced a grant of INR 10 crores for setting up the plant.
