[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]An export and manufacturing company in Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru, has lost crucial data and emails following an attack from malicious software on its two main servers and systems. Bangalore Refinery (P) Ltd. CEO Ketan S. Dhruv has approached the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for help in identifying the culprit.

Ketan’s company offers solutions to metal refining, gold coins and bars, jewellery findings, precious metal chemicals, gifts, investments and watches. He was in for a shock when he discovered that crucial data and mails had gone missing from the server. He lodged a complaint with the cyber crime wing of the CID about the malware attack. Dhruv stated that the malware attack has badly affected his company’s work. He requested the police to identify the culprit and take strict action.

The cyber crime police have registered an FIR. They suspect professional rivalry or some disgruntled employees of the company to be behind the attack. The police are also verifying the background of employees who have access to the systems, and of those who have quit or were terminated recently. The police stated that they have begun their investigations and are checking the source of the malware. Once they got the source, it would be easy for them to identify the culprit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
