Digital MSME Website is now live

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Digital MSME site, under the Digital MSME Scheme launched recently, is now operational, with the Ministry of MSME stating in a tweet, “Digital MSME site is being made operational.”

According to reports, Registrations under the scheme have already started. For registration, Udyog Aadhaar Number will be mandatory and there is no registration fee in this scheme for MSMEs. The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises is implementing a “Digital MSME” Scheme for promotion of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) in MSME Sector and motivate MSMEs to adopt ICT tools and applications in their business processes. The Scheme revolves around Cloud Computing which is emerging as a cost effective and viable alternative in comparison to in-house IT infrastructure installed by MSMEs.

In cloud computing, MSMEs use the internet to access common as well as tailor-made IT infrastructure including Applications/Services which can greatly help MSMEs in almost every facet of their business. The Scheme also has provision to give subsidy of Rs. 1 lakh per unit for user charges for a period of 2 years.
The rate of subsidy for all Micro & Small Enterprises in the category of OTNER will be 60 % in the first and the second year and the amount of subsidy per MSE will be Rs. 1.00 lac.
The rate of subsidy for all MSEs in the category of NER, SC/ST, Women, Divyang will be 60% +additional 10 % of rate of OTNER category in the first and the second year and the amount of subsidy per MSE will be Rs. 1.00 lac.

The website gives the real-time information about MSME Registered; MSME Opting Service from CSPs; MSME Approved by TCIL for Subsidy; and MSME received Subsidy.
