[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Great news for Members! PIA’s persistent efforts and follow-up, along with other Industry bodies, with KERC and BESCOM has resulted in BESCOM issuing a Circular confirming that no General/Trade License is required to be produced from MSMEs for the purpose of availing Power supply.

Bescom vide Circular dated June 9, 2017 has informed that “Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises registered under MSMED Act 2006 in the concerned DICs, who are desirous of availing power supply to their Industrial units are exempted to produce General/Trade license”. Further, Large Industries who have filed Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum or Industrial License with the Secretariat of Industrial Assistance, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, GOI, who are desirous of availing power supply to their Industrial units are exempted to produce General/Trade license.

Welcoming the release of the Circular, PIA President Sri R. Krishnamurthy called on the Members applying for sanction of power supply to take note and also inform PIA if they face any problem on this count. “With this PIA has finally put to rest the issue of Trade License on MSMEs,” he affirmed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
