Flex boards, which were dotting the localities of Peenya, T. Dasarahalli and surrounding areas, were an eyesore. Implementing the Karnataka High Court order to remove the flex boards and banners, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) went on a flex board removing drive. The BBMP staff members have removed 18,671 flex boards so far. About 10,000 flex boards were removed on Wednesday alone.
The BBMP has removed flex boards in eight wards of Peenya Dasarahalli, namely Bylappa Circle, Bagalagunte, Dasarahalli bus stop, Jalahalli Cross, Peenya 2 nd Stage and Hegganahalli bus stop.
Various types of flex boards, such as greetings by and for politicians, flexes congratulating the local politicians were dotting several localities in Bengaluru, including Peenya. The residents say that though the BBMP has removed the flex boards to implement the High Court order, the corporation should ensure that the flex board ban should be implemented strictly.
